Cover Letter
I love to tenaciously solve unsolvable problems
in an efficient, detail oriented,
repeatable, and reliable manner.
I believe that bugs, when found by QA, always improve code. Assumptions
should be avoided at all costs, but when necessary must be clearly
documented. And naturally everything designed and coded must reflect
the core values of the organization.
I place security first, reliable bug-free
operation second, and raw speed last. I am experienced with the HTTP,
XHTTP, SSL, CSS, RSS, XML, DNS, SMTP, and TCP/IP protocols, the DKIM,
SPF, DMARC, and ADSP standards, Bourne shell and C-shell scripting, and the PHP
and C languages. Have written daemons to receive and verify signed
SMTP email, to deliver images to a web server, to parse ARF messages,
and to summarize the
click-throughs created by a commercial web site, all able to handle millions of
transactions per hour.
My specialization is in the C-language, p-threaded, multi-threaded,
configurable daemon/servers.
I am experienced with MySQL and have dabbled with Oracle.
I have been called, "an incredibly talented, master level C programmer,"
yet remain humbled by all there remains for me to learn.
I am equally comfortable in a leadership role or as a team member.
As for a few of my accomplishments:
Eight technical books, ranging from the "sendmail" book for
O'Reilly Media, to "C From A To Z" for Prentice Hall, as well as over
100 short stories, all writen using Adobe Framemaker.

Dozens of web sites using CSS3 and XHTML and one using a propriatary,
self-written,
C-language replacement for Cassandra based on Berkeley DB.
Pertinacious
photographer and videographer. Please visit my other web site to witness that aspect of me.
